There’s a worldwide energy revolution under way. And Connecticut is leading it.
See it for yourself—on the Connecticut Clean Energy Trail.

Today, people around the world are demanding a new kind of energy. Energy that will power our world but not pollute it. Heat our homes but not harm our health. Cool our buildings but not change our climate. Run our appliances, but never run out.

The world is demanding clean energy.

Clean energy doesn’t come from fossil fuels. Instead, it comes from sources like the sun, wind, water, biomass and fuel cells. Clean energy doesn’t pollute. It’s never used up. And it’s available everywhere, so every country can have the security of real energy independence.

Connecticut is a global leader in developing the technologies needed to make clean, renewable energy widely available and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. Right now, cutting-edge clean energy systems are up and running at locations across our state.

These exciting sites make up the Connecticut Clean Energy Trail. Follow the trail—either in person or online—to learn how clean energy technologies developed right here in Connecticut are making the world a better place for all of us.

Connecticut: A Tradition of Energy Innovation

Connecticut has been a world leader in technology innovation for more than 200 years, giving the world everything from the first cotton gin and revolver to the first helicopter and artificial heart. So it’s no surprise that it’s spearheading development of clean energy technologies. The American wind turbine was invented in Connecticut more than 100 years ago. The fuel cells that sent men to the moon were created here. Today, Connecticut is home to the world’s leading fuel cell companies and scores of other clean energy-related businesses. These innovative businesses are generating good jobs and strengthening the state’s economy while creating technologies that will make clean energy a way of life for millions.

The Clean Energy Trail is sponsored by the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund. Visit our website for information on our programs and initiatives at http://www.ctcleanenergy.com.
